Dear Acolytes and Honored persons.
A situation is rising on the planet Syl of the Sin Noviate
system within the Rya cluster that requires the Inquisition's
attention.
Syl is a hiveworld, and its singular moon, Widdow, is a shrine
world. The hiveworld's largest hive is the Recreational Hive
Arc Prime. The hive is run by 5 major cartels (See attached
documentation). The inquisitional facilities are straining to
keep track of the Hive City and recently there has been a
number of sources reporting heretics and artifacts of the
Great Enemy being transported and sold throughout the
city.
Inquisitor Vladam of the Ordo Hereticus will be in control of
the operation. You are to report to him or one of his
underlings.
Interrogator Vister has attached a number of annotated
files that may be of help to you.
Submit your reply back and your transport shall be
organized.

A brief overview of the system and general planet information.

The Rya stars, liberated 259 M38, consists of 5 systems: Sin Nova, Salem, March, Ignatus and Nihilum.
The Rya Cluster trading route, known as the Durandal Loop, is a popular starting point for many
traders in the sector. The route consists of 7 major ports. The first two are in the Sin Noviate system. The
Ore Barge “Gallivant” sits in geo-synchronous orbit around the planet Miller, exporting thousands of
tons of various metals daily. Owned by the Floen Cartel. The second port in Sin Noviate is Syl ,a hive
world along with its moon Widdow, make up the largest stable population center in the Rya stars. Syl is
often viewed as the trading capital of the Rya Stars, not producing many material exports itself.
The next ports are in the Salem system.

Planet Syl, none purer.
Hive Syl is a thoroughly devout planet, with the Hive Arc Prime following close in its reputation. The
local arbites, backed by a sizable garrison of the Ecclesiarchy's Sisterhood, have a hard line on
heresy; even the pious are careful to attend prayer groups and the underhive scum find the need to
ignore gang ties when prayer congregations are called. All this effort to pray to Him on Terra has
caused a number of issues: a skyrocketing crime rate and a major infestation of mutants in the lower
levels of the hive.
The Hive's government is a Cartel system, with the cartels' large output of the hive's total production
giving them seats in the Audience hall. The largest corporations are:
R.Deschain, who specialize in the production of Stub pattern weapons.
Jet, who specialize in simply owning the most land or space in the hive.
Bonder, who specialize in freight transportation across the planet.
Metro, who specialize in public transportation, mostly between planets.
The West are a trading group who own a number of mid-hive trading posts.
The ModSyl are a second trading company who run more upper hive trading posts.
And finally, the Club, who are one of the smallest of the key groups owning multiple business.

A number of smaller cartels work below them; however, they tend to fall into the
pockets of the larger cartels fairly often.
The Hive, although founded late in relation to the other hives, does not follow the
common hive layout: instead of the traditional tiered approach, the hive was built
over the original foundations of a city. Almost split into quarters, the north is widely
heralded as the front of the city and the main ports are here too. A strong recreational
vibe is held here. As you rotate clockwise, across to the docklands, the recreational
facilities slowly give way to storage and supply stations for the southern factories. The
southern quarter gives way to mass production and huge refineries. Lastly, the western
quarter is mostly residential with the richer living closer to the northern edge. A notable
number of shanty towns have also set up out of the hive cities walls.

Lastly, some information I have gathered for you regarding
your assignment.
The last planet in the system, Dianor, was bombarded
during the liberation, turning the planet into a near asteroid
field. It is declared as restricted space with system defense
sentries placed around the edges.
The inquisitional facilities in Hive Arc Prime,located in the
eastern segment, normally have to deal with the
occasional trader poking their nose around the ruins, but
recently a number of “artifacts” have started showing up in
the hive. A number of these, majority being mostly harmless,
have been recovered and identified to still contain
fragments of the evil that permeated the planet in the
years past. These artifacts cannot fall into the wrong hands.
When you arrive in system, a concierge will greet you and
take you to your lodgings. Your appearance in the hive will
not go unnoticed and you represent a sizable change in
the politics of the hive.
